Common questions

USA Working Equitation scoring, answered.

How many marks is an error of course under USA Working Equitation rules?

Under USA Working Equitation rules the first error of course costs 5 marks, the second a further 5, and the third error means elimination. Marks come off the sheet total before the percentage is worked out.

Levels 2 to 6. Level 1 riders lose 5 points per error with no disqualification.

That is the rule in the United States Rules for Working Equitation, Section 5.7 / Table 5-2 (Rev 9.1, effective 2026), and the calculator applies it automatically. Rules get revised, so where your rule book or sheet differs, the sheet is right.

Which USA Working Equitation tests does the calculator include?

9 current tests, covering L1 Introductory, L2 Novice A, L3 Novice B, L4 Intermediate A, L5 Intermediate B, L6 Advanced, L7 Masters (WAWE), WAWE Juniors division and WAWE Young Riders division, each listed above with its movement count, coefficient movements, collective marks and the maximum printed on the sheet. Every maximum was checked against the published sheet before it shipped.
