About the Swiss Equestrian tests here
Errors of course
Swiss Equestrian's rulebook refers to the sheet, and every sheet here prints 2, 5 and 10 points for the first three errors. A fourth error excludes the rider from the placings, though the test may be finished; the calculator shows that as elimination.
Not included
GA 03 Kombiniertes Richten, whose collective coefficients are blank so its maximum of 400 cannot be derived; the FEI-derived L 19, L 20, M 28, S 31 and S 32; FEI tests, freestyles, quadrilles and the young horse tests (overall marks).
Swiss Equestrian (Switzerland) scoring, answered.
How many marks is an error of course under Swiss Equestrian (Switzerland) rules?
Under Swiss Equestrian (Switzerland) rules the first error of course costs 2 marks, the second a further 5, the third a further 10, and the fourth error means elimination. Marks come off the sheet total before the percentage is worked out.
A fourth error excludes the rider from the placings, though the test may be finished.
That is the rule in the Swiss Equestrian Dressurreglement, art. 1.9.2 Programmfehler, with the penalties printed on each test sheet (Stand 01.01.2026), and the calculator applies it automatically. Rules get revised, so where your rule book or sheet differs, the sheet is right.
Which Swiss Equestrian (Switzerland) tests does the calculator include?
26 current tests, covering Class GA, Class L, Class M and Class S, each listed above with its movement count, coefficient movements, collective marks and the maximum printed on the sheet. Every maximum was checked against the published sheet before it shipped.
