Structure only, read from the published sheets: how many movements, which are doubles, the collective marks and the printed maximum. Where Equestrian Canada's sheets and rulebook differ

Errors of course

Equestrian Canada's 2026 rulebook (Section D Art. D304 for eventing, Section E Art. E 9.3.2 for national dressage tests) takes 2 marks for the first error of course and 4 for the second, and eliminates on the third. Seven of the para-equestrian introduction sheets, published in 2018 and revised in 2024, still print the older rule: 2, 4 and 8 marks, with elimination on the fourth error. Each test here follows its own sheet. The Walk tests at Levels 1 to 3, the Walk/Trot tests at Levels 1 to 3 and Walk/Trot/Canter Level 2 use the older rule they print. Walk/Trot/Canter Levels 1 and 3 print no rule, so they use the 2026 rulebook, as every eventing and I Can Event test does. If your competition applies the current rulebook to one of those seven, a third error of course is elimination there, not a further 8 marks.

EV 110 Test 2 (2024) is not included

Its sheet marks 16 movements, doubles movement 8 and has Harmony at x2, which comes to 190, but it prints a maximum of 180. Rather than guess which figure is right, it will be added once the sheet is corrected.

Common questions

Equestrian Canada scoring, answered.

How many marks is an error of course under Equestrian Canada rules?

Under Equestrian Canada's 2026 rules the first error of course costs 2 marks, the second a further 4, and the third means elimination. Marks come off the sheet total before the percentage is worked out.

Seven of the para-equestrian introduction tests still print an older rule on their own sheets, 2, 4 and 8 marks with elimination on the fourth error, and the calculator follows the sheet for those seven. Every other Equestrian Canada test uses the 2026 rule.

That is the rule in the EC Rules 2026, Section D Art. D304 (errors 2.1) and Section E Art. E 9.3.2 (Effective 1 Jan 2026), and the calculator applies it automatically. Rules get revised, so where your rule book or sheet differs, the sheet is right.

Which Equestrian Canada tests does the calculator include?

18 current tests, covering I Can Event, EV 85, EV 90, EV 100, EV 110, Para Walk, Para Walk/Trot and Para Walk/Trot/Canter, each listed above with its movement count, coefficient movements, collective marks and the maximum printed on the sheet. Every maximum was checked against the published sheet before it shipped.
