Where a few British Dressage sheets disagree with themselves
British Dressage reprinted its archive tests in 2016, and on a handful of them the movement markings no longer match the total printed at the bottom of the same sheet. Where that happens the total is followed, because it is the figure British Dressage publishes in its own test chart and the one your score will be worked out against.
Introductory A (2008) and Introductory B (2009)
Neither reprint shows a coefficient on any movement, but both print a maximum of 230, which needs one. The calculator applies it at movement 8 on A and movement 5 on B, the free walk in each case, which is where Introductory C (2016) carries its coefficient too.
Elementary 59 (2010)
This reprint prints a coefficient on movements 10 and 21, which would come to 330, but the sheet's own maximum is 320 and allows only one. Movement 10 is applied, the free walk, matching every other Elementary test in the archive.
Advanced Medium 90 (2012)
Movement 19 is a heading for the three movements under it rather than a scored movement, and carries no mark of its own. The calculator therefore shows 23 boxes where the sheet numbers up to 24. Enter your marks in the order they appear on the paper and the total is right.

How many marks is an error of course under British Dressage rules?
Under British Dressage rules the first error of course costs 2 marks, the second a further 4, and the third error means elimination. Marks come off the sheet total before the percentage is worked out.
PSG to Grand Prix sheets use the FEI rule printed on the sheet: elimination on the second error.
That is the rule in the BD Members' Handbook, Rule 129 (Penalties for errors of course) (2026, effective 1 Jan 2026), and the calculator applies it automatically. Rules get revised, so where your rule book or sheet differs, the sheet is right.
