How many marks is an error of course under AIRC rules?
Under AIRC rules the first error of course costs 2 marks, the second a further 4, and the third error means elimination. Marks come off the sheet total before the percentage is worked out.
That is the rule in the AIRC Rule Book Rules 8.2/8.4.1, adopting Dressage Ireland Rule 6.5.15 (2026, effective 1 Mar 2026), and the calculator applies it automatically. Rules get revised, so where your rule book or sheet differs, the sheet is right.
